What are the Uses of Pumice?
Pumice is a natural lava-based substance that is expelled from volcanoes. The glassy finish and abrasive texture of pumice have resulted in a number of household and construction-based uses for the volcanic substance. Pumice is created when a volcano erupts and spews lava. The lava, which is very hot when it comes out of the volcano, rapidly cools when it is exposed to the cooler air outside. This rapid cooling transforms the lava into a sort of glass.
