What are the uses of Endoscopic / Laparoscopic surgery ?
Endoscopic surgery can be used either for diagnosis of the disease or for the treatment of the disease after the diagnosis is confirmed. In many cases, despite all investigation like X-Ray, sonography or CT Scans, accurate diagnosis is not arrived at especially tissue diagnosis. In these cases, interior visualization of the cavity using endoscope and taking out a piece of tissue for tissue diagnosis can be done with 100 percent accuracy. Cancer, tuberculosis, sterility, obstruction of the intestines or infection of the abdominal organs can be diagnosed with the help of endoscopy surgery.
