What are the usage limits for the keys?
There are three different classes of keys: Dev, Deploy, and Unlimited, each with its own usage limits. Please reference the table below for more details. Presence keys are Unlimited. Dev keys are intended to be used for building and testing your Plugin or Custom Client. Fingerprints are not associated with Dev keys, so you can compile and test your code without having to update your fingerprint each time. Dev keys have low usage limits and are not meant to be used for distribution. Deploy keys have higher usage limits and are intended for release. They also have fingerprints associated with them when used with Plugins and Custom Clients. Deploy keys are also used to access the Web AIM APIs. When used with Web AIM, deploy keys are not associated with a fingerprint – they are associated with the referrer instead.
