If you would like to order an oligo with mixed or degenerate bases, use the IUB (International Union of Biochemistry) codes in your sequence. For these oligos, we add on the cost of the modification or thioating reagent necessary to synthesize your order. To order a phosphorothioate backbone, select that option from the “Modifications” pull-down menu. An oligo becomes harder to synthesize as the number of bases increases.
