What are the undergraduate requirements for admission to OBCL if I do not wish to take a CLEP exam?
The applicant must have completed at least two years of college work, which college work shall not be less than one-half of the collegiate work acceptable for a bachelor’s degree granted upon the basis of a four-year period of study by a college or university that has degree granting authority from the state in which it resides. To have completed two years of college work, an applicant shall have earned at least 60 semester, or 90 quarter, units of college credit with an average grade at least equal to that required for graduation. If an applicant does not have at least an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science (the California State Bar does not accept Associates in Applied Science degrees), the admissions committee will most likely require the applicant to have a pre-legal evaluation done by the California State Bar. Information on pre-legal evaluations can be found by clicking here. Please note that pre-legal evaluations can take 4-8 weeks to be reviewed. OBCL encourages applicant
