What are the typical acquirer responses to authorization requests?
The acquirer will return a success-or-failure code that indicates whether or not the authorisation was successful. If the authorisation was successful the acquirer will return an authorisation code for the transaction that must be quoted when the transaction is settled later. If the authorisation failed then the acquirer will return a particular failure code plus an optional short message that describe the cause of the failure.
