What are the types of Epileptic Seizures and Symptoms?
There are two types of epileptic seizures: • Focal Seizures affect only one part of the body – patients may have sensory, motor or visual disturbances but usually remain conscious • Generalised Seizures usually start as a focal seizure but spread through the whole brain, causing rhythmic muscular contraction and relaxation lasting between one to two minutes; patients may experience tongue biting and breathing difficulties
