What are the types of electronic irregularities that cause power quality problems?
Top Voltage fluctuations (Sags and Swells): Changes or swings in the steady-state voltage above or below the designated input range for a piece of equipment. Fluctuations include both sags and swells. They can be caused by large equipment start-up or shut-down, sudden change in load, improper wiring and grounding, utility protection devices. Fluctuations typically range from 3 to 30 cycles and can be single or three phase.
