What are the two versions of the Electoral Register?

0

There are now two versions of the electoral Register, the full electoral register and the edited electoral register. The full register has the names and addresses of everyone registered to vote, and is updated each month. This register can be inspected by the public but can only be used for electoral purposes, law enforcement and crime prevention, statistical purposes and credit referencing. The edited register is available for general sale and can be used for any purpose. All electors were asked on this year’s registration form to indicate if they wished to appear only in the full register. Only the names and addresses of electors who did not indicate this will appear in the edited register. If your name is on the edited register and you wish to have it removed contact the electoral services office and we will advise you how this can be done.
