What are the two new XRI authority options?
The two new types of authorities supported by XRI syntax are: • Global context symbols (GCS) — single-character symbols used to indicate the global context of the authority type (see below). • Cross-references, which enable any identifier to be used to identify a peer-to-peer authority (see below). Both GCS characters and cross-references support delegation to other authorities. Note that a GCS character may only be used as the first authority subsegment, called the community root authority, while a cross-reference may be used as the root or at any level of delegation.
