M35 is a grade of Cobalt Drill bits with 5% Cobalt added to its formula to increase heat resistance. M42 is a grade of Cobalt Drill bits with 8% Cobalt added to its formula because of its ability to resist wear and is less prone to chipping compared to the same bits made of carbide.
