What are the tryout requirements?
The minimum grade point average to try out is a 2.0. Members must maintain a 2.0 GPA and complete 12 hours per semester. You will perform a cheer and the MSU fight song. In addition, you will be required to demonstrate tumbling skills and partner stunts. You will be judged on three partner stunts of your choice. Each partner stunt will be judged on a point value system, and the number of maximum points allowed for a stunt depends on its level of difficulty. Tumbling requirements and an explanation of the partner stunt scoring system along with a list of partner stunts and their starting point values can be found at the bottom of this page. The tryout sheet will be explained to you in detail before tryouts.
