What Are the Treatments for a Reoccurrence of Neuroblastoma?
Neuroblastoma is primarily a childhood cancer that begins in the nerve tissue. About two-thirds of neuroblastomas are diagnosed in children younger than five and in 70 percent of them the cancer will have spread before diagnosis. Both of these factors—age and metastases—are important criteria when determining the treatment plan for recurrent neuroblastoma.
