What Are the Treatment Options for Hearing Loss in Children?

In other cases medication may help. Sometimes a hearing aid is recommended. And there are other types of hearing loss that cannot be treated. When treatment is an option, it should start as early as possible – even when the child is as young as six months old. Early treatment of hearing loss can allow many infants to develop normal language skills without delay.
