What are the traits of a bisaya?
Some Tagalogs are bothered by the fact that Bisayas can usually understand and speak Tagalog whereas they can’t speak Bisaya. Bisayas are also considered rude or loud sometimes, because our accent is a bit harsh and we don’t use a polite particle like “po” in everyday speech. Others also associate the word “Bisaya” with “probinsya”, despite the fact that Cebu City is the largest metropolitan in the Philippines after Manila, and go as far as to equate that with being uncivilized or uncultured. Those are some possible reasons. All of the decent Filipinos I’ve met so far don’t really have anything against Bisayas.
