What are the top ten stocks for this year?
There are some great stocks to buy this year that are still growing. Earlier in the year the LA Business Journal showed that Walt Disney, Activision, and CB Richard Ellis have been really active. Real Estate companies are not probably a good bet during the earlier part of the year, but later this year they will likely be performing considerably better. I would say my top ten picks for growth potential are (in order):
- Activision/Blizzard – new games being released
- Walt Disney – move industry doing well and holidays a great time for the theme park
- CB Richard Ellis – already showing significant activity and growth
- American Apparel Inc. – already showing significant activity and growth
- Cougar Biotechnology Inc. – already showing significant activity and growth
- Broadway Financial Corp. – already showing significant activity and growth
- Health Net Inc. – already showing significant activity and growth
- Public Storage – With all of the homes and flux in real estate, a service that is likely to pick up.
- DirecTV Group Inc. – the new digital cable switch can affect it
- Amgen Inc. – already showing significant activity and growth
