Haryana Roadways and a few other private operators run luxury has buses between Chandigarh and Shimla. While Haryana Roadways has regular services between these two places, private operators run as per the traffic requirements. You may go to Chandigarh Bus tation at Sector 17 and board Haryana Roadways Delux/AC bus which has good frequency. Between Jalandhar and Shimla, there is no regular luxury bus service and the available options are unreliable, hence not to be counted. Between these two stations, from Jalandhar you may travel to Chandigarh by ordinary/semi-delux/non-stop service (Haryana/Punjab/Chandigarh/Himachal Roadways or private operators) and can have onward journey to Shimla as detailed above.
