What are the three rivers in pittsburgh?
The Ohio is formed at Pittsburgh’s “Point” which helps shape the Golden Triangle making Pittsburgh an unmistakeable and stunning skyline. The industrial history of Pittsburgh lead to the Ohio being a very polluted and dirty river as late as 15 to 20 years ago but the shuttering of industrial polluters and the focused clean-up of dedicated groups like Friends of the Riverfront have lead to the Ohio’s rebirth as a great recreational river. Fishing, boating, waterskiing, kayaking, and even swimming are now not-uncommon in the Ohio near the Point and farther south.
