What are the three different types of provincial offence notices?
Part I – A ticket issued by a police officer, for which you have 15 days to respond by choosing one of the following 3 options: 1. Plea of Guilty- Payment Out of Court If you choose this option you are pleading guilty and you pay the total payable amount indicated on the bottom of the ticket. Fines can be paid either in person or by mail to our office: County of Lambton Provincial Offences Office P.O. Box 1060 150 N. Christina Street Sarnia, Ontario N7T 7K2 A return envelope and payment slip is provided with your ticket. Payments may be made by cash, personal cheque, money order or visa & master card. If paying in person, you also have the option of paying by debit card. 2. Plea of Guilty with an explanation If you choose this option you are pleading guilty to the offence but you wish to explain your circumstances to the Justice of the Peace in the hope of a lesser fine amount or longer time to pay.
