What are the three best things about working at Shands Teaching Hospital?
A patient needed physical therapy and her insurance was not accepted at our clinic. We were known as the best clinic for her needed therapy, so even though she couldn’t afford it without insurance she wasn’t going anywhere else. I got a hold of a supervisor at her insurance company, and through a few hours of “pleading” her case for her, getting our clinic to structure her therapy slightly different, I obtained insurance authorization for her….
