The threaded inserts on the 422-LR, 422-C, 632-LR, 532-LR, 532-C, and 533-VAC are for connecting the speaker to various mounting devices. The two threaded inserts on the back of the speaker are for wall or ceiling mounting with the OmniMount 20.0 mounts. Some of the speakers also have a threaded insert on the bottom, which is for connecting the speaker to a stand.
