Fly either British Airways or Lufthansa Airline and use an international travel agent (like American Express) to make all your reservations. That way if there is any problem along the way, you have someone to contact to take care of the problems for you. Also, join the airline’s frequent flyer program (both you and your child) BEFORE your trip and make sure the numbers are included in your reservations and you have the membership numbers with you. Frequent Flyers often get a little extra accomodation, even if they’re new to the system. 2. Reserve bulkhead seats. They have lots of leg room and if the flight is smooth, you have a nice place for your child to play quietly on the floor, on an airline blanket. 3. Buy your child his own seat!
