What are the tests that need to be done Fasting?

0

Several blood tests need a fasting state when collected. These are indicated in our test list. The most common fasting tests are fasting blood glucose, lipid profile, cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose tolerance tests. A fasting state requires that the patient not have anything other than water after 10PM for a sample to be collected next morning at about 8AM. This includes tea and coffee, even black and without sugar (the caffeine in these changes the baseline metabolism). Also, avoid strenuous exercise before coming in.
