What are the tenants expected to do?
While repairs to the home are the owner’s responsibility, the tenants are expected to do the daily upkeep that the homes need. They will keep up with items such as replacing light bulbs, changing furnace filters, replacing smoke detector batteries, relighting gas furnaces and water heaters, and maintaining the lawns and flowerbeds (unless lawn service is provided). If a repair is due to tenant negligence, then they are billed for these charges. In addition, tenants are expected to follow our detailed cleaning standard when moving out of your home, including having the carpets professionally cleaned.
