First of all Fusion is an extremely dangerous source of energy. It is hard to contain. I don’t know if you are talking about fusion or fission. The only known source of fusion energy is in the sun.. Then again plasma could be used in fusion, but overall, i think MIT dropped their study because fusion is simply too dangerous.
