What are the tarot cards?
The tarot card deck is made up of 78 cards in all and these are divided into 2 different sections, the major arcana of which there are 22 cards and the minor arcana which consist of 56 suited cards. The major arcana cards represent major events in your life, where as the minor arcana symbolise things that you have more free will about and wish to change. Each of the minor arcana suits is made of 10 numbered cards and 4 court cards, the page, knight, queen and king. Tarot cards contain pictures that help to explain the meaning of each card and the four minor suits are Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles (Coins).
