What are the System Requirements?
GoldWave requires a minimum 1.5GHz Pentium 4 (or compatible processor), a mouse, 256MB of RAM, 20MB of disk space, and a sound card. For best performance, a 2GHz or faster processor with 512MB of RAM or more is recommended. Windows 2000, XP, Vista or later is required. Older versions of Windows will not run recent versions of GoldWave, but you can install GoldWave v4.26 on those systems.
Submitting Monster is desinged to be used on Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista, and requires around 64 MB ram (minimum) and 2.1 MB of disk space for installation, based on an Intel Pentium I, II, III, IV, AMD or compatible. If you want to use Submitting Monster on Mac you have to use Virtual PC. The VLE that we use is Blackboard and our version of it can be found at www.blackboard.uhi.ac.uk. The VLE is a web based application and as such you will need to have a live internet connection. It will work on a 55K dial up modem but works better on a high speed internet connection. You should have a monitor capable of at least 800×600 resolution. For best performance, however a resolution of 1024×768 resolution or higher is advised. There are no other hardware requirements except those needed to support your web browser.
