• WindowsNT4/2000/XP Professional or Server (Win9x/ME are not supported) • The ability to make TCP/IP socket connections between all hosts. To use the default launcher, mpd, the following must be true: • Setup must be run while logged on as an administrator. Running setup without administrator privileges will not produce an error at setup time. The errors will show up when you try to use mpirun. If the top two are not true then you cannot use MPICH. If you do not have administrator privileges you can use mpd from the command line without installing it. Download the source distribution and read the manual for instructions how to use mpd from a command prompt.
