Cougaar requires Java 1.5 or later. Any machine capable of running Java 1.5 or 1.6 should suffice. The Cougaar architecture team develops on Windows 98/NT/XP, Linux, Mac OS X, and Java-1.4-capable PDAs. There’s also a micro-edition of Cougaar that runs on a Java KVM ( CougaarMicro ).
