What are the system requirements for JFS?

0

The JFS server uses Red Hat Enterprise Linux as its operating system. When purchasing a new server, we typically recommend a capable server with dual power supplies and RAID for redundancy, maximum uptime, and to allow for future growth; however, it is possible to run JFS on much less. Recommended specs are: a dual Intel Xeon server 3.0GHz/2MB Cache (800 MHz FSB or better), 2GB DDR2 400MHz or greater, redundant power supply with dual cords, at least two SCSI or SATA hard drives on a RAID controller (60GB or greater total available capacity), two network adapters, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 5. Minimum specs are: any modern x86 processor 2GHz or greater, 1GB DDR2 400MHz or greater, 30GB of hard drive space, a network adapter, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
