What are the system requirements for a server installation of ASE-NT?

0

• Operating System: NT 4.0 Advanced Server (recommended) or NT 4.0 Workstation with Service Pack 2 or higher. • File System: NTFS (recommended) or FAT. • Memory: 32 MB RAM minimum. • Disk Space: The amount of disk space required depends on which components you install. For example: A full installation, accepting the default size for the master device and sybsystemprocs, requires approximately 150MB of disk space. Adaptive Server Enterprise requires at least 18MB of free space during operation for shared memory files. Taken together, the total minimum disk space required for an installation of this type is approximately 170 MB. Note: Sybase devices (and therefore databases) cannot be installed on a network drive. Devices must be local to the server machine. For additional requirements, see Installing Sybase Adaptive Server/OmniConnect for Windows NT.
