The only sure way to determine this would be to go to a vet for an ultrasound. There is a great risk to the mother if something like this occurs. The cat may develop other behavioral or physical problems. Many vets will preform c-sections early to remove the dead kittens. This is a much better option for the mother than to have them naturally. I hope you get her spayed after she recuperates.
