The problem with cold symptoms in cats is that they are similar to allergies (much like humans). Excessive sneezing could be related to dust or other contaminants in your home that are causing your kitty to sneeze.

Lethargy can also be an indicator (but they have that with allergies on occasion as well). There is no replacement for a veterinary diagnosis, but some helpful symptom indicators:

  • Excessive sneezing
  • Runny nose
  • A coughing/hacking sound (not just from hairballs)

Your cat might be able to get over it after a few days, but if it becomes severe, you will need to get your kitty on antibiotics, prescribed by your veterinarian.
