What are the symptoms of RSV?
Less severe cases of RSV infections cause cold-like symptoms such as runny nose, a low-grade fever, and general discomfort. If your baby’s infection progresses to the lower respiratory tract, you may notice: wheezing, which is a whistling noise that can be heard when your baby exhales; severe coughing; rapid breathing; or difficulty breathing. If your baby develops a high fever, their skin starts to turn a bluish colour, or they have trouble breathing, seek immediate medical attention.
