Ebola is often characterized by the sudden onset of fever, weakness, muscle pain, tiredness, headache, and sore throat. Vomiting, diarrhea, skin rash, impaired kidney and liver functions, and both internal and external bleeding may follow. The percentage of death among cases depends on the strain of the virus, but can be as high as 88%.
