If you are suffering from cystitis and have the following symptoms you may be suffering from a simple urinary tract infection. • Dysuria – Pain when passing water (normally a burning sensation) • Frequency – Need to pass water more frequently than normal • Blood in urine – Urine may have visible blood, be cloudy or have a strong smell If you also have a vaginal discharge then it is unlikely you have a simple urinary tract infection and you should seek advice from your regular doctor.
