What are the symptoms and treatment for body lice?
Body lice are parasites which feed on human blood. Body lice are also called as pediculous corporis. The lifecycle of body lice has been divided in three stages, Nit, Lymph and adult stage. The average life of body lice is 30 days, if the parasite is deprived of human blood for 2 days or more they die. The most common site affected is external genitals, buttocks, front of the wrist and back of the elbows, chest and webs of fingers and toes.
