What are the supermarket chains in Aguadulce?
For a long time, the local store owners pressured the town officials not to let in the big chains in but a few years ago, the biggest player in the town went bankrupt and things have gotten better since then. There are plenty of markets here but to date there is only one chain store – SuperCarne – they came in 2006. That really put the squeeze on the other markets to drop prices. About time! The chain store Rey is reported to becoming soon though. Everyone is looking forward to it. I wouldn’t be surprised if a Machetazo and a Super 99 decides to open a branch either.
