What are the style trends in kitchen cabinetry?
Contemporary-style kitchens have become extremely popular in the past five to 10 years. In the early 2000s, people were doing much more industrial- or commercial-looking kitchens with a lot of stainless steel and glass. With the economic change and more people retreating to their homes, we’re seeing a blending of the contemporary and traditional, or a softening of contemporary style. This might mean mixing a grand chandelier with stainless steel. The look is still very simple and clean, but we’re seeing the incorporation of warmer woods and more natural materials.
