Anywayz, they are two young maidens who live with their mom in the forest on winter evening a bear asks for lodge it is granted and the bear remains for a couple of days. One day he says he must leave to hide his treasure. The young maidens go out to the woods and the come across a troll with his beard stuck in the bush to release him they cut some of it off he leaves cursing the girls and with a sack of gold. They meet him again at the river his beard is caught by a fish. They cut his beard and he walks away cursing them with a sack of rubies. They meet him once more in the forest this time his beard is stuck under a branch.
