Once the flaxseed has been ground and the hard seed coat has been broken, a greater risk exists in developing an ‘off-flavor or taste’. Flax is best prepared daily to ensure freshness. After all, there are no preservatives in this product. Ground flax can be stored in the refrigerator after opening for 120 days.
