What are the steps to becoming a detective (specifically the intellegence division) i.e. University courses?
I’m going to become a detective and I’m going to university next year.. I’m wondering whether or not i should be taking specific courses since i want to be a detective. I know I still have to become a regular officer for some time and I’m up for that. Oh, and also, if you’re a police officer in Canada, please tell me, and leave your msn email if it’s fine with you.. Jason =D A: Study Criminal Justice, join a police department, work as a beat cop for a few years, take the Detective exam, and possibly get picked up for a position. You may also consider joining the Military to gain some better experience.
