What are the steps of moving to the Netherlands permanently?
Assuming when you say you are from Scotland that you hold a UK (or EEA) passport then theoretically you can move to the Netherlands tomorrow and start seeking work Practically speaking it of course then in order to make a success of it (and especially in this environment) then it requires a bit of preperation. First thing of course is to have a plan e.g. where in the Netherlands you want to move to. Assuming you don’t speak Dutch and don’t want to travel a million miles to work every day then you need to look at the area’s where international companies are located in order to maximise your chances of getting employment. This is Amsterdam<>Amstelveen<>Schiphol<>Hoofddo… and then Den Haag where many international organisations (UN etc) are located, and then also there are companies Rotterdam and in Utrecht & Eindhoven to a lesser extent.
