What are the steps of becoming an air force pilot?
I’m not sure about the Canadian air force but for the US air force you first need to be commissioned as an officer which requires a bachelors degree. Youll have to go through pilot training and even then you could still be dropped. Or if you survive through the end you may not get your choice of aircraft because you can bet that almost everyone else will want that fighter. The top ranked gets to pick their Aircraft first. And yes there are height requirements just to ensure that you are not killed if you have to eject. The minimum is 5’4″ but you cannot exceed 74″ or something like that. You’re not the only one that wants to become a fighter pilot so expect a lot of competition. There are gonna be just as many others who are as qualified, if not more so than you. Also nothing is guaranteed and don’t think they’ll let anyone who comes up asking to be pilot become one.
