Step 1 Contact the SPFEA office for a credential review application. Step 2 Submit application and request official transcripts from your institution to be sent to the SPFEA office before winter/summer deadlines Attn. Credentials Committee. Step 3 Credentials Committee will meet twice per year in January and August. Step 4 Upon approval by the committee, your name is submitted to the Board of Education for approval. If you are approved in August, you will receive your salary increase upon Board approval in Sept or at the very next Board of Education meeting thereafter. All salaries that have been committee approved in August, but not Board approved to reflect in the Sept, will be retroactively paid upon Board approval. If you are approved in January, you will receive your salary increase upon Board approval in February or at the very next Board of Education meeting thereafter.
