Setup a pre-application conference with one of the Planners by coming in or calling (804) 966-9690. (This is highly recommended)! • The purpose of a pre-application conference is to assist the subdivider to gain a thorough understanding of all the requirements applicable to the particular property and to advise the subdivider of recent, impending, or proposed changes in those requirements. (We ask that you please bring a visual reference of the property to the meeting) Get the entire lot/parcel perked! (The Health Department does not provide perking for subdivisions, but they can provide you with a list of Authorized On-Site Soil Evaluators (AOSE)). Take that information to a surveyor of your choice and let them know what you want to do! (The County cannot give recommendations). Bring eight (8) copies of the plat/survey FOLDED (individually) to the Planning Department along with the appropriate fees and application.
