What are the steps I need to take prior to having LAP-BAND® surgery?
The first step is to schedule a surgical consultation. We will see you 3 times prior to surgery. You will need to complete various pre-surgical clearances and pre-operative testing requirements. Based on the information given to us by the Nutritionist and your psychologist, your surgery date will be scheduled at your second visit. Please note that the timing for the completion of these steps and the scheduling of surgery varies from patient to patient depending on the precertification requirements of your insurance carrier, as well as the availability of other specialists.
