What are the starting and ending degress of lines of longitude?
Longitude are the (imaginary) lines running north and south around the globe, from pole to pole. They measure the distance east or west of some starting point. Many years ago, London England decided that everything started there, so they determined the “beginning” to be in the area of Greenwich, England. So that’s “zero”, and the lines west of there measure by degrees to 180 east and west – so the first line is 1 degree west, and the last is 1 degree east. They go to 180 degrees. So after 180 degrees west (Out in the pacific), you start with 179 degrees EAST and work your way back down again.
