What are the standard paper sizes?
If you live in the USA you may be surprised to find that the rest of the world uses standard paper sizes that are different from what you assume to be standard. Paper size standards are set by the International Standardization Organization (ISO) along with many other standards including film speed and light measurement. If you have about an hour to boggle your mind you can find out far more than you intended about paper sizes here: http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/iso-paper.html Standard paper sizes for printing are divided into A, B and C paper sizes. The A paper sizes, the most commonly used sizes for brochures, annual reports, magazines, books, catalogues and newsletters are as shown in the following tables. B and C formats are used in envelopes, notepads, books and newspapers. C sizes are primarily used in envelope manufacture to enclose A sized folded paper.
