What are the ‘Stage 1’ and ‘Stage 2’ exam boards (EBs) referred to in EUCLID APA structures?
‘Stage 1’ and ‘Stage 2’ EBs refers to the model for board of examiner assessment processing defined by the Academic Policy Committee in its meeting of 21 May 2008. Broadly, Stage 1 refers to the course boards that will take place after the December and May exams. Stage 2 refers to programme/progression boards that will take place after the May and August (resit) exams and, for example, at completion of 12 month MSc programmes. All Stage 1 board agreement of course results must be complete before a particular date (we are calling this the ‘Stage 1 results publication deadline’), so that any boards with Stage 2 business that require Stage 1 results from elsewhere, can arrange to meet after that date to complete their Stage 2 business.
